When entering the cabin you will immediately see that the owners wanted to provide a quality kitchen - granite countertops and a huge kitchen with eat-in bar are sure to please.
For the guest wanting to ride bikes, hike, or explore you are sure to find the offerings of Yough Mtn Resort to be quite attractive! Should you decide to venture out you will be pleased with the 5 minutes drive to Herrington Manor State Park (swimming lake with beach area and boating), Swallow Falls State Park (highest waterfall in Maryland and miles of groomed trails amongst the Hemlocks), and less than 20 minutes to the Deep Creek Lake and WISP Ski Resort areas.
Relax in the evening in front of the crackling wood fireplace (firewood provided) before retiring to the 3 bedrooms upstairs. When the relaxation ends you will appreciate the large front-loading washer and dryer in the designated laundry room. You will leave refreshed and connected once again with nature!

Great location, but beware of no wifi or service in or around the property!!
Manager Response:
Indeed The Yough is a rugged area where cell phones and internet service can be tricky. We try to promote that as a good thing as most guests have plenty of cell/internet in their daily lives; however most guests don’t have the endless wilderness just out their back door! If internet is important to a guest, Rock Cabin is not a good option; if nature, peace, quiet are important (with the luxuries of a hot tub, firepit, and wood firepace) – give this home a thought!

Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice, this place is even better in person! No cell service with Verizon but AT&T works in certain parts of the house, so plan ahead but otherwise it was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect little cabin for our weekend getaway! The location is great. It was very quiet and relaxing! It was close enough to Deep Creek to grab lunch and do some activities.

This trip was so much better then we ever thought possible! The house and property are so beautiful. The have a cd/stereo, six cord to the living room tv to connect your lab top for music or movies. DVD player, no WiFi but with Verizon we were able to get texts and calls no problem. The living room fireplace and outdoor fire pit are beautiful. You can sit outback under the desk and enjoy the sound of rain. My only comment about the house negative was that the tub water wouldn’t go down without a plunger (very small issue) other then that it was absolutely amazing! Hot tub is amazing and relaxing. There are trails and waterfalls all over the mountain and the town is only about 20 minutes away. Beautiful small town, definitely try englanders diner (we went everyday lol), the bbq spot is AMAZING! We will definitely be back again! Relaxed and refreshed are only some ways I can describe myself right now

This is a lovely home with a nice yard to hang out in. Easy to find if you follow the instructions provided. Hot tub was nice but hard to climb in (can’t use the stairs because no space to set up,the shed offers little room for more than just hot tub). If you are tall, be careful with the low ceiling going up the stairs. No wifi, which we knew going in, but cel reception is very limited and we weren’t able to look up menus for placing orders for curbside pickup. Easy things to work around as long as you are aware. One recommendationwould be to include curtains in all rooms, kids were up real early as there was nothing to block any of the light.

Good place to get away from urban areas. Hot tub is nice, nice firepit, and decent sized house. Though the place doesn’t come pre-stocked with anything other than a pan and pot. Make sure to bring your own trashbags, seasonings, tp, dishsoap, etc.

First time in Deep Creek and my husband and I stayed here for a weekend retreate and it was lovely. The price is great for the location and amenities. Very clean and everything you would need was provided (pots, oil, spices, blankets). Beautiful fireplace and pre-cut wood supplied for us. Located in a nice quiet community a short drive from the creek, ski slopes and boat rentals. Will definitely be back.
